OUR GREEN R&D TO CREATE CIRCULAR ECONOMY BUSINESS MODEL

Green R&D and Circular Economy

Our developing Green R&D business model supports industrial symbiosis — the most powerful tool of the circular economy — by applying materials science techniques to transform industrial waste into economic value. It focuses on overcoming technological barriers encountered in secondary raw material production and on creating new markets.

During the development of circular economy business models and the initiation of economic activities in this field, various scientific and technological uncertainties arise. Eliminating these uncertainties requires tailored, boutique solutions specifically designed for each sector and even for individual companies. In this process, there is often a need for R&D companies and innovation projects. The process begins with identifying the actual needs, and the initiated projects are carried out by teams formed based on those needs.

Generally, both waste-generating companies and companies that will purchase processed waste as secondary raw materials are forced to focus on their core production activities under current economic conditions. Therefore, R&D companies and innovation projects play a critical role in enabling the circular economy through activities such as:

  • Establishing the business model,
  • Conducting material characterization and analyses using analytical techniques,
  • Creating the market for secondary raw materials,
  • Preparing samples according to potential customers’ expectations and monitoring trial results,
  • Ensuring compliance with legal regulations required during storage and transportation.
